How can I improve these boring desert dumplings?
So I made these little desert dumplings, but they turned out really plane and boring. The original recipe was for meat filled dumplings, but I had no meat that I could use in the house, so I thought that since the dough was basically just a recipe for pie crust that it may be that I put fruit in it instead. So I made it with apple pie. Sadly they came out really boring, and I've tried to improve them with honey on a couple, and cinnamon sugar on a others. They're stilling really boring. Have in suggestions like a dipping sauce good for deserts?
