How do you become cold hearted ?

It seems selfish butt seriously! I'm sick and tired of always having to 'look' for people that actually care about me and my feelings ! I always have to put in the effort in friendships and I get too attached to people and when they go...it hurts alot !! I just dont want to feel anything anymore !! how do I start ?
